Biographie
Né en Gaume, j'ai été intéressé par l'image dès mon enfance. À 9 ans, je photographiais les oiseaux avec une boîte Kodak 6/9.
Après un apprentissage, j’ai trouvé mon autonomie. Les résultats obtenus m’ont permis de participer à des salons photographiques nationaux et mondiaux. J’ai été primé et mes clichés ont été exposés dans le monde entier. J’ai reçu la distinction A.Fiap puis E.Fiap pour ce travail.
Ensuite, étant proche de la nature, j’ai été attiré par la discipline animalière.
Je deviens photographe professionnel et ouvre la Galerie de l’ancien moulin à Chassepierre où j’expose en permanence mes travaux.
Mon travail est de vous présenter des photographies, livres, cartes postales, concernant essentiellement la faune, réalisés en milieu naturel en Gaume (Belgique). Il représente pour moi une implication naturaliste envers la faune sauvage. Etudier cette faune pour pouvoir vivre à ses côtés est la base de mon travail.
« Je suis un élément, élément indéfinissable, une toile qui ne dégage rien, ni bruit, ni vie ! Une toile morte de l’extérieur, au-dessus de tout soupçon. Après mille précautions, chaque jour, comme un rituel, je deviens un décor inerte. Le temps, allié de l’oubli, ce temps si précieux aux yeux de l’homme moderne, sous ma toile, il ne compte pas.
Alors je vis le partage de la faune sauvage. J’attends l’offrande, celle qu’on veut bien me donner, souvent pas aujourd’hui ! Peut-être demain ? Demain, jour des espérances. C’est cela la recette de mon travail. »
Cette façon de travailler me permet d’entrevoir ou de vivre des scènes intimes de la vie animale puis de vous les faire partager avec l’espoir de révéler leur beauté et leur fragilité et ainsi d’inciter tout un chacun à respecter la faune et à la préserver pour nos enfants.
Born in Gaume, I was interested in the image from my childhood. At 9, I photographed birds with a Kodak 6/9 box.
After an apprenticeship, I found my autonomy. The results obtained allowed me to participate in national and global photographic exhibitions. I was awarded and my pictures were exhibited all over the world. I received the distinction A.Fiap then E.Fiap for this work.
Then, being close to nature, I was attracted by the animal discipline.

My job is to present you photographs, books, postcards, concerning mainly the fauna, realized in natural environment in Gaume (Belgium). It represents to me a naturalistic implication towards the wildlife. Studying this fauna to live with it is the basis of my work.
"I am an element, indefinable element, a canvas that releases nothing, neither noise nor life! A dead canvas from the outside, above all suspicion. After a thousand precautions, every day, like a ritual, I become an inert setting. Time, ally of oblivion, this precious time in the eyes of modern man, under my web, he does not count.
So I live sharing wildlife. I'm waiting for the offering, the one we want to give to me, often not today! Maybe tomorrow ? Tomorrow, day of hope. That's the recipe of my work. "
This way of working allows me to glimpse or experience intimate scenes of animal life and then to share them with you in the hope of revealing their beauty and their fragility and thus to encourage everyone to respect the wildlife and preserve it for our children.
